In normal democratic societies: If I were entitled to vote and had gone to the polls, and I wasn't on the list, I would have reported it to the election commission, shown my documents, and probably would have voted.

Yessir, but that’s not what it seems happened here.

Apparently the OSMF did this *knowingly* for *years* and it only came to light this year, and, after, tried to pretend it was totally fine.
