[OSRM-talk] Extracting PBF

Dear OSRM developer, users

I have installed ubuntu 12.04 TLS , 32bit. VM virtualbox

Physical PC RAM 8GB,
VM Machine 4GB RAM

stxxl separated vhd XFS 70 000MB,syscall
extract/prepare/engine for small countries works OK.

i need process europe.pbf
but europe fail:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
  what():  std::bad_allocAbort



can  europe.pbf be processed on 32bit linux anywhere?

please what is recommended-minimum configuration for physical machine, VM
and stxxl configuration and
best recommended linux platform (fedora 19, ubuntu 12 ...)
