[Photon] Photon API availability

Hi Cristian,

Photon has been an interest of mine for a while. I was working on importing
custom data and writing data transformation software for it and I have the
skills to do whatever requirements people have on the data and programming
side.

It looks like there might not be too much support from the original
maintainers, so I was thinking to run a SaaS based on photon. I guess it is
Foss and it is legitimate to do so as long as you don't distribute the
software for a price. The interpretation of licenses and the law may vary.

But if there's interest and people would pay for the service, I would be
very happy to provide Photon SaaS.

Could you please let me know if there's interest for this and how much it
would be worth for you? I mean anyone in this Forum.

The best physical location I can provide this service is Germany. So in
Europe you should get very decent latencies.

If the Photon maintainers want to do this fair enough but if there's no
interest from them I'd be honored to provide this service and start helping
maintain the Photon software in the Foss4G space. I think it's great
software and needs better commercial support.

Anything you'd like to add?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Tim
