We've fixed all the blockers thus far identified in Potlatch 2...
which means, in theory, it's a fully working editor.

You are warmly invited to go to Dave's test instance at
   http://random.dev.openstreetmap.org/potlatch2/potlatch2.html

and have a play, then let us know of any bugs you find. This mailing
list is as good a place as any, or if you have svn access you can add
them to the TODO. If you're familiar with Potlatch 1 you should find
using it largely second nature.

Right now we're mostly interested in bugs rather than enhancements.
But, of course, if there's anything missing which you can't imagine
editing OSM without, then do mention that.

In the next week or two I'll put up a version talking to the main API
so you can gingerly edit real live OSM data (of course, it would be
cool for someone to beat me to it ;) ).

The other thing you might like to do is download the various files
from http://random.dev.openstreetmap.org/potlatch2/ , run it locally,
and play with the stylesheet (potlatch.css) and presets
(map_features.xml).

cheers
Richard
