It's very long. Here are my suggestions:
1. Really the only need to sign up to OSM is to be able to edit the map (this is probably missed by the many many people who sign up then never edit). I suggest removing the "Get a free account" section and including the content it includes within the "Start Contributing Section".
2. Do we need all the headings. I played around a bit and removed the "One Map, Many Uses", "What's on the Map" and "Basic Terms for Mapping" headings, replacing them with a simple "About OpenStreetMap" heading right at the top (above "Unlike..."). In my opinion this works well as the pictures are good enough to describe the theme of each block of text. For best results I suggest moving "Any Questions" to the end (after "No time to edit...").
I hope these suggestions prove useful food for thought. Otherwise I think it looks good.
