I'm -1 on using the word "wiki". In it's technical sense it's inaccurate, in it's popular sense it's dated and passé. I realize it appears in the sidebar; I think we should remove it from there. That said, the tagline could be better, and should emphasize the collaborative nature of the project. Suggestions welcome.
I'm +1 on including the National Park Service and other non-commercial entities; please suggest specifics. I haven't heard of OCHA -- is that something that will have broad name recognition? The NPS will be relevant only to en-US users, so we will need to add a distinct en-US or en-GB translation file. [Traditionally, the en translation file has contained en-GB spellings, but it appears that translatewiki assumes en is en-US, and does not support having an en-US translation.]
I've combined the two sections dealing with signing up and editing. I'm -1 on removing the headings; they are important for context and scannability. I'm -1 on moving the "Help" section to the end; the intent is to end with clear calls to action: sign up, start contributing, or add a note. The word "free" was specifically removed due to a prior objection that it might suggest there was a paid account option.
