[openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website] Accept geo: URI in search and/or other parameter (#1123)

I stumbled onto this thread, while looking for a way to open "geo:" uri scheme links, much like they work on my phone. I agree with this request to add the ability to search for geo: uris, as that was one of the first things I tried. 

It may be possible to do one better. In my search, I also found that using the Javascript function [navigator.registerProtocolHandler()](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Navigator/registerProtocolHandler) Firefox will present to users [the option to setup a protocol handler]. (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web-based_protocol_handlers). This would make geo: links clickable and I believe Firefox also extends the registration to the operating system.
