@bjohas that would seem to be a (at this late date) surprise requirement for any implementation in an OSM context. Essentially you are requiring one way or the other that you always get the same geocoding result for whatever you are using for shortening (in your case assume that you had shortened with Altamira, Brazil that gives at least 5 more or less valid results when geo-coded with Nominatim).
