[openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website] Map shifts position incorrectly on mobile view (#991)

I can confirm that this is still the case. It is not limited to mobile and it happens when you close the left sidebar (map jumps to the left). It doesn't happen at widths of 1200px or more (desktop / scale=1), but it happens when the screen is narrower than that.

On small screens (sidebar from above rather than left), the map jumps to the left + down so that the top border of the visible map remains at the same point, but the left border and right border is shifted to the right, effectively panning the map to the left. While there are probably good intentions behind this, it leads to a very confusing result if you were focussing on a part that is now off screen.
On closing of the sidebar it does the same movement in the opposite direction.
Maybe the vertical movement is happening automatically (as a result of reducing the map height when the sidebar pops up from above).
