I don't think so. I just mentioned it as an FYI so that if new people joined the conversation here then this can hopefully explain why.

Maybe I'm just dense but I didn't really see anything on the page that implied that they know a better development process for improving the website than the maintainers? In fact, they caution: "Remember that the website maintainers are volunteers." (Well except for @Firefishy, of course.)
