That ticket is about search results and I think this one is about the node browser though that already highlights the node with an orange circle so I don't think it would be reasonable for the coordinates link to trigger a different sort of marker.
I'm not really sure why the coordinates are a link in the first place - at a guess it's just a way to provide a link to that location that people can copy.
We could make them link to the node browse page (ie the view already being displayed) rather than the map view but then it wouldn't really serve any purpose as that URL is already available in the URL bar.
