Just to clarify - no, we don't mean literally just inversion and nothing else! I hoped that would have been clear from the description of option 2 above, to quote:

> More complex filters to invert the brightness of the maps, so that light areas are dark, and dark areas are light. Typically by using a combination of invert and rotate so the colour hues are restored after the inversion.
