In a recent conversation with @1ec5, we discussed whether admins could benefit from the ability to change the notifications preferences of users. The general idea is to stop email being sent to addresses that reject it or mark it as spam, as that could affect our ability to send email more generally.
A plausible use case would be: a user opens many notes, their email address bounces every email, and other users are commenting/closing those notes. In this case the email address would receive all the notifications and bounce them.
Is this something that admins would see as useful? Variations on this? Perhaps some way to automatically detect email bounces and throttle/disable email without manual intervention?
