Consider for example [this](https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Paris&zoom=19&minlon=-2.352085411548615&minlat=51.639924422330104&maxlon=-2.3480567336082463&maxlat=51.64155401985514#map=12/48.8589/2.3469). Would you really want it to zoom out to show both France and Texas?
