We are defining a data-format (not a single line of code),
so the difference between C and C++ does not really matter,
does it?
He just wanted a list of platforms for a reason that eludes me.
I'd be glad to go on with collecting the requirements to
finally get down to reviewing existing file-formats after we
know what our format must be capable of.
