Academic experience, in particular on OpenStreetMap
I am currently writing my dissertation about the nuances of OSM data analysis. Specifically, I focus on the toolchains and infrastructure needed to answer questions at the individual contribution level to show how the map grows and evolves (i.e.: unpacking the full editing history to tell the complete story). I have been doing OSM-related research since 2014.

Editorial experience
I have not sat on any editorial boards, though I have reviewed various OSM and VGI related submissions to ACM-SIGCHI and Computer Supported Cooperative Work.
Participation in State of the Map 2019
I plan on attending State of the Map 2019.

One of my primary research interests is in the development of data quality assessment methodologies for OSM in order to help both OSM contributors and researchers identify quality issues and subsequently address them. I am also very interested in how government agencies (such as mapping agencies) can use OSM and how OSM and these agencies can collaborate together [0]. An almost complete list of publications is available on my academic homepage [6] with a similar list compiled by Google Scholar [7]. In addition to this I use OSM data as the primary spatial data source for my teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate modules. In terms of meeting organisation I a member of the Irish OSGeo Local Chapter [8] and have been involved as a member of the organisation team for an annual VGI related workshop at the annual AGILE GIS conference [9]. Recently I was delighted to be the host of the launch of the OSM Ireland Company and Chapter event at our University [10]

I am a member of the editor panel for a number of current Special Issues which include OSM research as a major topic [1],[2] and [3]. I was a member of the Scientific Committee for the Academic Track at SOTM 2018 in Milan [4]. At SOTM 2018 itself I was involved in the organisation of the Academic Track day. I was one of the editors of the first ever book which was published showcasing OSM as a topic of academic research in its own right [5]
