Dear Serena and Marco,

Please find my application to join the Scientific Committee below.

Sincerely,
Yair Grinberger

1. Name: Yair Grinberger
2. Affiliation: Department of Geography, The Hebrew University of
Jerusalem, Israel

3. Academic experience: One of my central research interests is
contribution behaviors and how the context of mapping shapes the resulting
data in OpenStreetMap. Specifically, in my recently completed post-doctoral
research stay at Heidelberg University I have studied the institutional
contexts of data production in OpenStreetMap, how these lead to large-scale
data production events, and how such events affect representation and
future contributions. In regards to membership in scientific committees, I
co-organized the academic track of State of the Map 2019 and a
pre-conference AGILE 2019 workshop on the geographical and cultural aspects
of geo-information.

5. Editorial experience:
I am now part of the guest editorial teams for two special issues based on
the academic meetings mentioned in section 3 - one in Transactions of GIS
and one in the ISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information. The latter
is dedicated specifically to OSM research.

6. Participation in SotM2020: At the moment I cannot guarantee that I will
be able to attend the conference.
