Hi Kate,

I forwarded this to the OSMF Japan list.
I think the Japanese foundation would be a suitable entity to register the
domains.

Another idea came up (thanks to Venkatesh Raghavan) to eventually combine
SotM Asia with some Asian FOSS4G.
I think travel costs might be an issue for many attendants and we could
give the opportunity to attend a FOSS4G Asia as well as SotM Asia at the
same location.
I don't think many people from Asia will be able to travel to UK next year
for either FOSS4G or (probably) SotM.
