Depending on how that idea progresses perhaps aim for grants for some
portion of 2011 or 2012?

I see that you are on the road, Kate ;-) so you might have missed this.

While not necessarily related OSM DB was down for several hours today
due to disk trouble.  On smaug the /data raid array is being / has
been rebuilt.  /data is at ~90% capacity and additional drives for
/data are on that list.

If Strategic Working Group is not ready to move on these high-priority
requirements, some have been listed since March, then SWG needs to
step out of the way of the current OSM fundraising mechanism.

There is nothing wrong with taking a longer view and aiming for
"bigger" goals but so far we've done almost nothing.  We mustn't
expect the planet to wait for us.  Time for the SWG to declare that
we'll be forming in July, planning in Q3-Q4 2010, and becoming
effective in Q3 2011.

Let's get out of the way.  We harm OSM by making it wait on us.
