[Strategic] OSM front page discussion and user survey results (with pictures)

When looking at a bug, I often want to contact the reporter and say,
"What, exactly?" or "yes, but w.r.t. which direction?"  Is it possible
/ reasonable to allow submitters to include an email address?

As a side effect would that additional engagement potentially turn the
reporter into a contributor?

Perhaps a persistent link to each bug? Maybe as a modified osm shortlink?
Currently a shortlink with "?m" appended includes a marker in the map.
Could "?b" open the bug at the center of the map?
