Currently if you are logged in, any updates to a bug report will
generate an email to everyone who has commented on the bug. It uses the
email address linked to with the osm-account. Although it isn't yet, it
wouldn't be difficult to extend that to include an email address for
"annonymous" reporters.

I have now copied Google's idea of having a reminder at the bottom of
the bug report, that you can not only report a bug but actually fix it
directly your self in a hope to motivate more people to contribute directly.

There is the details link, which could act as a permalink (

other thing could possibly be done too.
