Hi all,

Record of today's meeting:

http://www.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Working_Group_Minutes/SWG_2011-11-04

Thank you as ever to everyone who turned up!

We have been trawling the existing channels for suggestions from the
community on OSM's future strategy. You can see the background, and all
the work so far, at:

http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Strategic_working_group/Suggestion_review

"We are looking to collate suggestions that have already been made about
OSM future strategy (e.g. "OSM should grow the mapper base", "OSM should
make special efforts to reach out to the developing world"). We're not
looking for operational suggestions, nor are we actively inviting new
suggestions as part of this exercise."

We would like to get the trawl completed by next week. So if you've
kindly said you'll help, please have a go at typing something up -
however cursory. I found it only took about an hour to look through a
year of talk@, though my brain was ready to implode afterwards.

Next meeting is at 4pm UTC Friday 11th. (That's the same as GMT for dozy
buggers like me who forget.) We will be working out what we need to do
to turn these suggestions into (the beginnings of a) strategy.

cheers
Richard
