[Tagging] What's the proper way to map multiple rail tracks in a street?

Exactly. Multiple tracks are logically separate ways. I think mapping multiple tracks as a single way is reasonable as a temporary measure when first mapping an area, or as a permanent measure where we don't have adequate imagery or access to resolve the correct position of each track.

Multiple tracks as a single way can also present problems, for example, where a multiple track section splits into two single track sections which diverge around an island station. I don't know of a renderer which can handle that while showing that the 2 tracks never meet each other.
