I suspect this is nothing particular to sports centres. AFAIR Mapnik
currently displays all nodes tagged with leisure at zoom 15. I also
observed strange behaviour as Mapnik shows the "Happy Games Club" at
zoom 15 (tagged with leisure=gambling).
