If that was the case then all tags in the UK would be wrong. On the
wiki page (which is unedited since Nov 2010), there is no reference to
"actual" or "rating" weight. It does however state "a legal weight
limit" which in the UK is always a weight rating (as per the previous

If you genuinely have a need for distinguishing between actual weight
and manufacturers weight rating then could you use
"maxweight:type=GVWR" or similar?
