Adding your desired colour won't get it rendered. If renderers want
items to appear they write code for it.

That should give you a clue that your proposal is not a very good one.

That's because it doesn't require one. The desired colour for each
entity is in the hands of the renderer, not the mapper. If you want
different colours or other items to display you have to set up your own
render.
I'm sorry, but you appear to a person desperately looking for a problem
just to provide a solution.
