[Tagging] roles for route=hiking/foot

Hey

As there was a small thread about themed and educational walking trails
on the German mailing list I had a closer look at the wiki.

I was wondering if it is ok to add a new roles for route=hiking to add
the art_work or information boards and use route=hiking with an
additional tag or better use a new type for these routes with own roles.

Well, I had a look at the route relation wiki page [1] and did only find
"route_marker" mentioned as possible role except of roles for
public_transportation.

According to taginfo [2] guidepost is missing and route_marker should
not be mentioned as it has only small numbers_in_use and I did not find
any proposal. I did contact the user who introduced it in the wiki,
asking about removing route_marker and putting it into a proposal and
discussion the issue at this mailing list but we did not find a consense
so far probably also caused due to language and technical problems.

So, I ask you about statements/opinions.
