Making "oneway=yes" as a default and make it automatically into the direction of flow is not a good solution:

* someone might not know the direction of flow, so just chooses a arbitrary direction of the way, which might be opposite to the direction of flow. If you have a default like this, you never now if the flow direction known or not.
* as already mentioned, more and more gas pipeline are equipped to work "reverse-flow". So at least for gas, flow_direction=both will be more and more common.
