the wiki says it is used for both typologies:

"Might be self service coin operated, with service staff for drop off. Also
known as a "laundromat" or "launderette"

and suggests these subtags for distinction:

   - self_service <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:self_service>=
   *yes/no* (often "coin operated")
   - laundry_service
   (staff doing the actual washing)
