OK I want to use

support=pole

pole:type=ornamental
pole:type=metal
pole:type=concrete

Alas, pole:type appears to be used to describe the use of the pole,
not what it is made of. I could just say support=pole, but then I would
be throwing away information given to me.

Should I create pole:construction=*?
