- scene render
- completeness (shows that someone has mapped the area very closely) 
- possible use for warnings 
- "color" information - welcome to FooBar / FooBar Civic Club Welcomes You / etc 

But the most important reason:

*someone* will be compelled for some internal reason to map them. And just like trees or minor power lines or locations of sheds, it may not be super important, but it allows us to let mappers map what exists (permanently)  in the world - and that is reason enough.
