indeed, this is a waiting _area_ , both terms are about space dedicated to waste time waiting, but they have distinct meaning, rooms are about more intimate enclosed spaces, areas are typically open or „feel“ open (space). IMHO there is room for both tags, waiting_area and waiting_room.
