[Tagging] Mapping deforestation wikipage

Hi,

thanks for your ideas.

From previous messages we think to change the different tag from landcover to hrg_landcover, the idea came form the professor Brovelli. Because we can think every type of landcover came from a satellite and the HRGLandCover (High Resolution Global Land Cover) is more related to the idea that we want to propose.

Having that idea, we think that the creation of the tag org_landcover=barren can be very useful.

For what concerns the vegetation if the original sense of the two tag is losted we consider the don’t create the tag.

If things can not be tagged from aerial images then it is better to wait for new ones
rather than add something like that.

both are simply used for tree-covered areas, and distinction between them is
either ignored or interpreted in some many ways that it is simply meaningless
(note many natural=wood in Europe, where it is hard to find forest not maintained by humans)

Landcover trees is a rarely used tag, with over half of use in Paraguay that is
result of single series of edits. It is used by tiny minority of mappers.

After some discussion about the idea of this project, we think to better capt all the idea to create a wiki page with the purpose of better understand the problem and find the better way to tag this situation.
