Thank you, this is exactly what i was looking for! (Although, as you wrote,
it doesn't seem necessary in this case.)

IMO it's better to not make an exception. Otherwise sooner or later there
will be no rule anymore.

That seems fine – with vertical bars –, but i guess it should rather be
dividers:width=* (instead of width:dividers=*). Besides, i think it
shouldn't be 0 if lane dividers aren't absent (better e.g. 0.01|0.01|4).
And it may not work well if the with of a divider increases or decreases,
what is the case quite often (e.g. triangle with chevrons or diagonal
bars). But maybe something like dividers:width:start=* dividers:width:end=*
could be used if the increase is linear.
