the law says you are not free to roam when the property is delimited (could be a wall or fence, but also a hedge or something symbolic), it doesn’t mean there has to be a gate or other barrier, you can neither enter when there is just an opening in the perimeter. It depends on the situation, whether you can recognize that it is delimited. Generally with a sign you’re sure while otherwise it might be ambiguous but not in every case allowed.
