See overpass query counter showing that in current Overpass database
there is exactly 1 such tag. See https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1acu

So either it is bot edit that just happened or will be reverted soon or
it was reverted already.

Before this discussion started catholic=* tag was basically not used.
