I think we need to see the full list of translations you propose before we
can fully comment. There may be more examples like "pine"

A page like I linked to earlier, detailing your exact plan and process,
would be more helpful. Mailing list discussions are somewhat disjointed
(necessarily as different people bring up different issues). It is
possible that some mapper in the future will want to know how and why these
tags were changed, and it is also possible that the process will have to be
repeated as mis-tagging may continue.
