Adding my +1 that not only do Casper's intentions seem a task well-suited to a MapRoulette challenge, but also that I have used MapRoulette to challenge OSM to add railway passenger platforms to areas surrounding railway platforms (a somewhat technically daunting thing to characterize with JSON data) and even though the problem space spanned over 5,000 potential challenges, even as I eventually ignored that I had engineered the challenge, months later I came back to MapRoulette to discover that others had completed the entirety of it!  Many successful MapRoulette challenges complete real work and do so successfully and with a wise, one-by-one approach that put human eyes on each solution.

OSM has an infinity of "problems," though I'd better characterize them as "opportunities to surmount."  The great thing is that there are a concomitant infinity of potential solutions to these.  MapRoulette is but one among many.  May you successfully complete your data improvement project, Casper.
