while it is probably true, as long as it also improves OpenStreetMap (e.g. someone adds a POI because they accept crypto payment) it is a net benefit.
In the dwg you see a lot of abuse,from cryptospammers and other, but I’m sure there are also many cases where cryptocurrency related items are interesting to keep. For example I recently ran into a cryptocurrency ATM at a shopping mall, and when I wanted to add it I saw it was already in OpenStreetMap.

admittedly I hardly ever add any payment methods (because there are many details I personally find more interesting) but as it appears there are many people interested in this kind of information, I do not see harm when it’s there, and in some exceptional cases it could be useful (typically, accepted payment methods are similar within a POI category and a geographic region, at least around the places I have been to, e.g. never saw a petrol station where only cash was accepted, but could be that there are in other areas, still some people add these also in “my” areas). Cryptocurrency acceptance information isn’t less significant than credit card or debit card acceptance
