is it the official website? use website tag

is it the best available website about this object? use url tag

neither? do not add it.

If you really want, add it to wikidata and
add wikipedia/wikidata tag(s) to link this entry

Having tags like url:chiese_italiane, url:anagrafe_biblioteche_italiane
suggests that linking every single page describing giving object
is welcome. This is a mistake.

It also makes harder to use this data (in data consumers, in editors etc)

And url itself has already info which page is being linked, so
repeating it in key is unhelpful.

https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/1834818  would have thousands
or millions of tags

> Hello everyone. In the former weeks I've created some tags in the form of suffixes for the tag url:, like url:chiese_italiane, url:anagrafe_biblioteche_italiane, to indicate that the url goes to a site related to that feature for which I am inserting the tag, called Chiese Italiane or Anagrafe delle Biblioteche Italiane (These words mean respectively Italian Churches and Register office of Italian Libraries).
> Some users think this use of the tag is inappropriate since it creates confusion and in their words would be useless.

> This is a changeset discussion on the topic (you can simply use a translate software)
> I thought I'd bring the matter here because it's not specifically an italian problem, since we are talking about creating a tag suffix to url: for each site has a page completely dedicated to a feature (not including newspaper and magazines articles obviously), if we expand the reasoning behind the two examples that I made.
