It's all this that makes it such a great shame that we don't make more effort to get tagging schemes "right first time," extensible and future-proof to some degree. The current process is more like design by committee and a "war of attrition" - when all the combatants have lost the will to live, whatever is left on the table becomes the closest we get to a consensus.

It's essential to get guidance into the discussions covering fields of expertise such as data modelling and GIS.

When two people cannot agree on "the answer" it is also possible that they are both right - but from different perspectives. If we can recognise that, we can attempt to adjust the model to accommodate both.

In this case there are different aspects to be considered: the post office may have different opening hours; it may be either the primary or a subsidiary function of the premises; and may be operated by a different company. Maybe I have missed some others.

Now let's focus on a good way of turning these characteristics into tagging.
