even the one which has a significant church, the Verano? Is it because the
church predates the cemetery? Because the proposals explicitly excludes
such cemeteries from the tag.
IMHO, any cemetery that is older than a few decades could be declared
historic=cemetery and it would be hard to dispute. Any example for a
cemetery in a city that is definitely not historic=cemetery, although it is
older than WW II?

I did mention Père Lachaise, because you were speaking about Chopin, and I
have been there 30 years ago. These are all very clear cases, the issues
are usually with the less evident cases. And those that may be classified
in more ways. I still see some significant overlap for many objects, where
there are more specific tags that better characterize the place and are
more important to set (IMHO), for example the terms "necropolis" and
"catacombs". Any necropolis is also a historic cemetery, as are the
catacombs.

IMHO it doesn't add much, because any old cemetery will qualify, but it
surely doesn't harm either.
Cheers,
Martin
