Hi, António.
A museum dedicated to history is not the same as a "historic museum".
There are plenty of museums dedicated to history all over the world, but
they are not "historic".
There are many museums that are housed in historic buildings. What is
historic in those cases is the building, not the museum. In my city
there are several museums in buildings protected by heritage laws. What
is protected in such cases is the building, not the museum. There are
also hotels housed in castles or military forts. In these cases,
"historic" is the castle or the fort, not the hotel.
I don't think there are many museums or hotels susceptible to be tagged
as "historic" in OSM. Maybe there are some cases of "historic hotel" and
"historic museum" in the meaning of "historic" that we are discussing
here, but they must be very exceptional, I think.
I know I am taking a risk in stating that I doubt there are many museums
susceptible to being tagged "historic" in OSM. I may be wrong. Often you
only know what is close to you. The world is very big and strange! What
people consider historic for their community is not always the same.
Regards,
Daniel
