[Tagging] Deprecation - waterway=riverbank vs water=river

Ten years was about enough waiting don't you think?
And I don't know what are talking about. Deprecated is a normal jargon
used when discontinuing certain feature e.g. function in a code.
Developers are certainly not insulting their users by saying that they
were wrong the whole time while using it.
Generally we would prefer non-competing tags and non-competing people.
