I modified it a bit just now:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=One_feature,_one_OSM_element&diff=2111436&oldid=2099808
From
"Ideally, every OSM element or object should be tagged with only one main feature tag"
to
"Ideally, every OSM element or object should be tagged with only one main feature"
as double tagging (multiple synonymous tags used at once) is broadly accepted,
from what I know.
> Clearly the one tag-rule is not currently followed, you can find millions of objects tagged as building=* plus something like amenity=* or shop=*, office=* etc. or barrier=* together with tags for an area, like landuse, amenity etc.

It would be worth mentioning on that page.

>
highway=footway
man_made=pier
(valid)
highway=toll_gantry
man_made=surveillance
(valid)
highway=tertiary
man_made=bridge
(invalid, but just 1571 worldwide, probably fixable within few hours)
