The distinction is between the main street actually being signposted as
"Main Street" or locals calling an unsignposted street "Main Street" on
the one hand and a mapper deciding that a particular street looks like
it is the main street so calls it that.
It may be in this case the locals call it "Mass Path." But if they
don't then it is wrong to use that as the name in order to shoehorn
in a description. Since we don't have a way of tagging mass
paths, using description=* would be a way of handling it.
If you want to highlight/label it in some way, there is uMap.
With uMap you could embed an overpass-turbo query to
pick up any footpath with "Mass Path" as the description,
display it in any colour/dash pattern you want and also
use the description as the label for it.
