Wow!  That is incredibly unhelpful.  Congratulations on making the mailing
list a less welcome place for people to share ideas.  I applaud Vincent's
persistence in trying to find a solution to a challenging problem.

It would be far better to say "I disagree with this approach because X, and
instead I think Y is a better idea because Z."
