Depends: Do you, or some of the people who have provided feedback, plan 
to solve this bigger issue soon?

If you manage to solve it, that would be great! But I've seen easy 
issues postponed indefinitely in the hopes for an universal solution 
that never manifests, which is a risk to keep in mind.

The way I see it, your proposal solves specific need and I would have no 
problem voting for it in its current state.
