@Anne-Karoline Distel I agree with you that fortification_type=ringfort and
some other fortification_type tags make sense as a sub-type of an
archaeological site, but some can, in my opinion at least, be moved to
defensive_structure=*, such earthworks and motte.
fortification_type=hill_fort also seems to be a duplicate of
castle_type=hillfort.

I'm currently reconsidering the parts of my proposal that overlap with
existing tags. Those parts are not quite ready yet.
