Especially in the payment-stoneage Germany where banks charge businesses insane amounts of money for Credit Card payments, you'll often see them accepting "girocard" (debit card) only - not only in terms of "no, we don't want your pesky VISA" but having the payment terminals actively refusing CCs alltogether, even though they'd be technically capable of payments for all types of methods.

So, yes, while I proposed a relatively large GUI in https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/issues/3219 to give the user every way of checking and unchecking different types of cards, I could very well imagine - in StreetComplete sorts of quests - asking "Does this place accept payments by cards?" and then setting payment:cards=*.
